Hey,
Ive had problems with this for a few days now, My Pc-cillin is detecting this virus everytime i start, ive tried everything i can to fix this, i found out this virus is in my startup file, i think named as SVCHOST. this file was created the exact same day i got the virus so im pretty sure its in there but cant delete it.

Also my run command wont open regedit.

Everytime i think i got rid of the virus it returns when i restart

Any help would be very much appreciated

Hello there and welcome to BleepingComputer. My name is Charles and I will be dealing with your log today.
Firstly, I'd like to get a few logs from your PC so we know just how much malware is installed.
Please move HijackThis to a permanent folder. Anywhere is fine, other than your Desktop or a temporary folder. If it is in one of these locations, there is a risk that you may accidentally delete the backups; which may be needed if we fix something we're not meant to.
If you use Windows XP it may be that you just double clicked on the HijackThis.exe file, but this only extracts the file to a temporary folder. If you right click on it and select Extract, you can choose a folder to place it in.

How to make a permanent folder:
Click Start | My Computer | Local Disk (C: ) | Program Files.
In the menu bar at the top, go to File | New | Folder.
That will create a folder named "New Folder", which you can rename to "HijackThis". You have now created C:\Program Files\HijackThis.
Now get your HijackThis.exe file and place it in your folder.

Please download NoLop to your Desktop.
First close any other programs you have running; this will need you to reboot.
Double click NoLop.exe to run it
Now click the button labelled Search and Destroy
<<Your computer will now be scanned for infected files>>
When scanning is finished you will be prompted to reboot only if infected, click OK.
Now click the REBOOT button.
A message should popup from NoLop. If not, double click the program again and it will finish. Please post the contents of C:\NoLop.log in your next reply.

Note: If you receive an error, "mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies are not correctly registered", please download mscomctl.ocx to your System32 folder then re-run the program.

Download Combofix to your Desktop.
Double click combofix.exe
Follow the prompts that are displayed.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.
When finished, it should produce a log, combofix.txt. Post that in your next reply.

Make a list of all the programs installed on your computer:
Open HijackThis
Click the Config... button, then go to the Misc Tools section.
Press Open Uninstall Manager. You'll see a list of programs.
Select Save List... - save it to your Desktop.
The file "uninstall_list.txt" will be created.
Copy and paste the contents of this file to your next reply.

Please include the ComboFix log, along with the Nolop log and a new HijackThis log and the uninstall list in your next post. You may need more than one reply to fit them all in.
Thanks,
Charles

If you are pleased with the service I have offered, you may like to consider making a donation. Posted Image

Hello again,
Download Findlop by Metallica.
Unzip it to your desktop.
Double click findlop.bat. It will open a notepad file.
Copy the content of that file and paste it here in your reply.

You appear to have used MSConfig to disable some programs from starting up.
This can be bad if they are malware; I will not know what other things are hiding in your computer that you have disabled.
Go to Start | Run, type msconfig | OK
When the window opens click on the Startup tab and make sure there are checkmarks next to all entries.
Then press OK until you are out of the program.
If it asks to reboot, let it, then post back a new HijackThis log and the findlop report. Also tell me what you mean by this:

Combo Fix - Access Denied

Thanks,
Charles

EDIT: Can you also delete the copy of HijackThis you have; you are using a version that is still being tested at the moment, and there are some things that need straightening out with it. Please download version 1.99.1 from here: http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/Merijn/HijackThis.zip. Remember of course to run it from a permanent folder like C:\Program Files\HJT to stop the backups being deleted.

Hello again,
Please print off a copy of these instructions, and also save them to a Notepad file on your desktop, so they are easily accessible.
We are going to boot into Safe Mode later in the fix, and there is no internet access.

Scan again with HijackThis and put a checkmark next to each of the following entries (if present):

R3 - URLSearchHook: Yahoo! Toolbar - {EF99BD32-C1FB-11D2-892F-0090271D4F88} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [64 cool cast first] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LOUDDATE64COOL\planproc.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Bwer] "C:\WINDOWS\MBOLS~1\attrib.exe" -vt yazb
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Zsxbru] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\M?crosoft\e?plorer.exe" 99001396

Then close all other windows--you should only see HijackThis on your Desktop--and click the Fix checked button.

Please reboot your computer into Safe Mode.
This is done by rebooting Windows and pressing F8 at boot/Windows startup, usually right after the beep.
Then select Safe Mode from the list.

Set your system to show all files.
Navigate to Start | My Computer | Tools | Folder Options.
Select the View tab. Under the "Hidden Files and Folders" heading, select "Show hidden files and folders".
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.

Next, please find and delete the following folder (if present):

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LOUDDATE64COOL

Now, navigate to C:\WINDOWS and look for a folder thats name begins "MBOLS", which contains a file called attrib.exe. Delete the folder.
Then navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files and look for a folder thats name looks like M?crosoft - the ? will be replaced by a similar character to "i", and delete it.

Reboot into Normal Mode again.
Please post me back a new HijackThis log.
Thanks,
Charles

Hello there,
Please download ATF Cleaner.

You're using an outdated version of Java (latest one is Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6). Please update and remove the older versions. Do the following:
Go to Start | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs
Search in the list for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... )
Select it and click Remove.
Then download and install the newest version from here:
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6

Reboot into Safe Mode.

Double click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

If you use Firefox browser
Click Firefox at the top and choose Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
Note: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click "No" at the prompt.

If you use Opera browser
Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
Note: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click "No" at the prompt.

Click Exit on the main menu to close the program.

Reboot into Normal Mode again.

Please run Panda's ActiveScan.
Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
A new window will open, click the Check Now button.
Enter your personal details.
Click the big Scan Now button.
It will ask to install various content - please allow this.
It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan, which may take a while.
When download is complete, click on Local Disks to start the scan.
When the scan completes, click the See Report button.
Click Save Report and save the file to your Desktop, so you can post this log in your next reply.

Please include the Panda log and a new HijackThis log in your next reply.
Thanks,
Charles

Hello again,
Reboot into Safe Mode and delete the following folders:
C:\Documents and Settings\MeL\Application Data\Else plus
C:\Documents and Settings\MeL\Shared\_
C:\Program Files\Common Files\{320D180E-063C-3081-1110-06112120003d}
C:\Program Files\Common Files\{320D180E-063C-3081-1110-061121200001}

Reboot into Normal Mode again.
Then let me know- how are things running?
Thanks,
Charles

I think you're clean
Great job! Now that you're free from malware, please follow these simple steps to decrease the likelihood of getting re-infected again:

Set your system to not show all files.
Navigate to Start | My Computer | Tools | Folder Options.
Select the View tab. Under the "Hidden Files and Folders" heading, select "Show hidden files and folders".
Check: Hide file extensions for known file types
Check the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.

Please navigate to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and download all the "critical updates" for Windows. This can patch many of the security holes through which attackers can gain access to your computer.
Either enable 'Automatic Updates' under Start | Control Panel | Automatic Updates, or get into the habit of checking for Windows updates regularly. I cannot stress enough how important this is.

In order to protect yourself against spyware, you should consider installing and running the following free programs:
AVG AntiSpyware
Ad-Aware SE
A tutorial on using Ad-Aware to remove spyware from your computer may be found here.
Spybot-Search & Destroy
A tutorial on using Spybot to remove spyware from your computer may be found here. Please also remember to enable Spybot's "Immunize" and "TeaTimer" features.
SpywareBlaster
A tutorial on using SpywareBlaster to prevent spyware from ever installing on your computer may be found here.
Make sure to keep these programs up-to-date and to run them regularly, as this can prevent a great deal of spyware hassle.

Thanks and happy computing,
Charles
