All the members of Bleeping Computer, are responsible for this list.
Every item on the list, was suggested by a member.
I just check out the programs, to make sure they're safe, organize them, and compile the list.

And a laborious and thankless job it is, too, TG1911; but considering the many Members (myself included) who refer to it almost on a daily basis, it is a labour well worth the time.
Thank you.

You all are quite welcome.

All I ask, is that if you find a bad link, make a post about it in the Freeware list, or send me a PM.
I used to go through all the programs, and check every link, to make sure it was still valid.
At the rate the list is growing, I just don't have the time, to check out all of the links, so everyone's help would be appreciated.

As of right now, if I counted correctly, there are 290 programs on the list.
We've come a long way from when the list first started.
The first edit I did, was April 04, 2005.
At that time we had 87 programs listed.

Wow tg1911. You've put a lot of work into organizing the new list arrangement. What a great resource for folks. It's so nice to have one place you can go to to find good, free, and spyware free programs.

Thanks to everyone for their contributions and a special thanks to tg1911, the link librarian for that thread. :flowers:

tg1911, I would like to thank you for your time and effort with regards to Freeware. I am a relatively new member and I had no idea that so much great protection was out there, and that it was FREE! In very large part due to your work, my computer is now safer than it has ever been, and it performs equally as well.

Thanks tg1911, and all those at BC who make this happen!

Sincerely,
bg04

You're quite welcome, blueandgold04.
Glad to do it.
It's one of the Mod job's I enjoy doing.
Exposes me to a lot of freeware, that I didn't know exists.
Of course, for a freeware junkie, that might not necessarily be a good thing.
I've got 3.88 GB of installers saved on my harddrive, just in case I might need a program, in the future.
