I can't seem to get rid of all the hijacking software on my computer. No matter where I go on the net to try to download additional cleaning software, I am redirected to a page that says

"You are not authorized to view this page."

I got rid of Internet Optimizer with SpyBot, but I'm still having problems.

I have tried to download HijackThis, but I keep getting redirected to the above referenced page.

Whatever I have here also prevents me from downloading Microsoft updates and also keeps corrupting my Windows Media Player. Also, it has somehow changed my permissions so I can't even open the regedit or regedt32 files to look at them.

Any suggestions? Maybe an Administrator of this forum could email me the download if it's not too large?

Paulette in Colorado  :flowers:

Hi, Lobos

Thanks, I tried your link. I still get the same message. The title of the page is:

Any ideas?

THANK YOU!!!!! That worked, don't know why I didn't think of it.

I'm going to install and run it -- hopefully this software will find the problem. I can't thank you enough!

Paulette.
