sorry if this is the wrong forum, just move it if it is.

ive recently formatted my computer and reinstalled winxp. im trying now to get my webcam to work. i had a cd with drivers for it on, but it got destroyed, so i went out on a quest to find drivers for the cam. i found them after a while, and installed it. however, when i try to run the program i get an error saying that no cam is connected. i tried installing the drivers and pointing the searchthingi towards a folder with all the files, but nothing.

some time ago i had the same problem, and i asked canyon about this, and they said that i had to install some device drivers. i thought i was trying to install them? or is that something else? in that case, how do i fix that?

really want my webcam to work, so please please help ^^

First check if the drivers are installed correctly.

Have you tried to connect other devices to your USB port?

Than try the following :

a)Uninstall and disconnect
b)Download install and update Ccleaner
Attention : the installation package comes with the Yahoo toolbar
if you do not want that you have to, untick the box accepting it during installation process.

After installing and updating go to options - advanced and tick prompt for registry back ups
Now Start up in safe mode
Do two runs

1) Click on problems and tick all. Click on analyse. At the end you will be prompted for storing a backup.
This will be stored, as a default, in My documents.
2) Click on cleaner click on analyse and accept all files to be removed.

Reboot install the latest drivers
Reboot and while rebooting plug in the camera. If this doesn't work
we have to take a look at your USB ports.

and, "click on cleaner click on analyse and acept all files to be removed".. what?

please explain a bit better, because that step doesnt make sense when im looking at ccleaner =/

I had the same problem, the drivers from the webpage did not work, neither those from the CN-WCA M21 (the cd included also the version for M23 cam) driver cd that borrowed me a friend of mine. Then I found the original CD and it worked!

Here are the drivers.

http://rapidshare.com/files/22292566/Driver23.rar

They seem to be bigger (3 megs instead of 1.5 megs) than I expected. If you found them working, pls add another mirror or upload them somewhere else, since this link will probably expire in the next month or so. if it will not be regularly downloaded.

Google.com HAS REMOVED this page from results, not even the site specific search has worked. Very strange!!!!!
