Try updating your graphics card driver. If you don't know what type of video card you have, download SIW (System Information for Windows). SIW is a free utility. Run the program and check for video information under the hardware section.

If an updated driver doesn't cure the problem, it could be the memory on the graphics card, or system memory that is shared for video purposes.

I hope this helps,

OK, I clicked on video under hardware, and there's a whole bunch of stuff. What am I supposed to be looking for?

if they are bent be care full when you
straighten them as the are brittle

Look under description. It should name your video card, and from that, we can find a driver.

Also, what is the make and model of your computer?

Thanks

Don't know, but once my screen kept turning pinkish. After much ado, turned out that the cords weren't plugged in tightly. Might be worth checking.

OK, under description, it's a "RADEON 9600 SERIES". As for the make and model, I'm not exactly sure where to look for that either.

ATI Radeon 9600 driver

This is the most up to date driver I can find.

Thanks, but now when I scroll down on a webpage, it's very slow, whether I use the scroller on the mouse or click and drag the bar on the right side of the page.

Let me do some looking. Did the blue screen stuff go away with the driver?

Check the Processes tab in Task Manager for high CPU or memory usage when scrolling. Also check the Performance tab for values that seem high to you. Let us know about them and we can move on from there.
