1)The tree sways with me
Leaves flutter by words of men
Quiet must be found

2)Lights shine from within
Buildings are silent beacons
Where promise calls home

Great topic mz30!

nn23, there is often a misconception in America that all poetry must rhyme. Sad but true.

Thanks mz30. There is much love for your child shining through your words.

There once was a puppy named Leia,
She started with not much to saya.
Now she's quite loud,
As owners we're proud,
Her kisses we'll not turn awaya.

How does that strike you Wildabeast? I had to fudge a little to get the rhymes, but I hope your rhythmical needs are satiated.

A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.

Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.

And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.

not mine but i liked it

Once again, I drag you all back to the topic as stated:

Poetry, post your own poems

There are enough other forums on the WWW to go to and read published poems that we don't need to quote or link to them here on the BC.
