Computers in the house are acting STRANGE!!! My Daughters machine was the worst so I will start with hers. Machines are set to NO SHARING in Zone Alarm and connected to a Linksys Wireless 54G with speed booster (with latest firmware), connected to a Starband Satellite. We have to use a proxy IP and port to connect. For security I have replaced x's for the ip in HJT log.

Noticing services keep getting turned on, like telnet, remote registry, remote access, second logon, etc.. Unable to send or recieve email through Thunderbird anymore, and after reading up on the OSE.EXE, I won't be checking it online until I get further instructions from someone here.

All programs and windows xp pro sp2 are completely up to date, including latest drivers.
Followed all instructions before posting....

Zone Alarm is protecting what ever this thing is. With Zone Alarm on nothing is detected. With Zone Alarm off the results are below... Also noticed OSE.EXE running in task manager off and on.

Completed as requested.........

Installed Avast and on boot up it stated.
C:\windows\system\32\activescan\pskavs.dll is infected by win32:ctx

Tried to repair and avast was unable to do that so I put it in the chest, until further instructions.

After boot up it stated:
3/12/2007 12:23:45 PM SYSTEM 868 AAVM - initialization error: Instant Messaging provider: cannot start because 'Kaspersky Anti-Virus' is active!, 00000000.
3/12/2007 12:23:46 PM SYSTEM 868 AAVM - initialization error: P2P provider: cannot start because 'Kaspersky Anti-Virus' is active!, 00000000.
3/12/2007 12:23:47 PM SYSTEM 868 AAVM - initialization error: Standard Shield provider: cannot start because 'Kaspersky Anti-Virus' is active!, 00000000.
3/12/2007 1:40:16 PM SYSTEM 1172 AAVM - initialization error: Instant Messaging provider: cannot start because 'Kaspersky Anti-Virus' is active!, 00000000.
3/12/2007 1:40:16 PM SYSTEM 1172 AAVM - initialization error: P2P provider: cannot start because 'Kaspersky Anti-Virus' is active!, 00000000.
3/12/2007 1:40:16 PM SYSTEM 1172 AAVM - initialization error: Standard Shield provider: cannot start because 'Kaspersky Anti-Virus' is active!, 00000000.

I have Zone Alarm installed and it has Anti-Virus, a little unsure of what to do. I did a full system scan after updating the Avast and it found another file infected A0005375.DLL in location:
C:\System Volume Information\_restore-{BF6AFA75-B5F2-4B05-8538-7B7BA7A14}\RP4 this file was also placed in the chest.

Turned off system restore and re scanned it found nothing.
BitDefender found nothing....
Hats off to you guys in the forum, this stuff is a pain in the behind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
