Sound Wont Work

ok i have realtek ac97 digital output


the drivers have been installed, and the sound icon says it works

all sound is on

but nothing is heard

as well

plugging in earphones to the comp produced no sound

and it worked all fine yesterday

what could've happened, and whats the solution

Double check your Audio/Sound settings. Right-click on the speaker icon in your taskbar, and click on Adjust Audio Properties and check everything from there.

If all else fails, goto Device Manger, and check to see if there are any yellow exclamation marks next to the speaker icon. If not, then it could be corrupt drivers for the audio. What you will need to do then, is to simply delete the sound card information while in the Device Manager, then reboot. Windows will detect it and install the drivers for it.
