External Hard Drive Not Formatted

Good Morning
I have an external HD that when hooked up on my home computer it says HD not recgonized . On my work computer it says the drive is not formatted. It is hooked up USB. Both are on XP. I would like to get the stored info that is on the drive off. The info was put on this drive by both computers.
please Help

What's the name brand of the drive (model number, size etc. etc.)? Have you tried going to the manufactures web sites and getting a diagnostic tool? You can check this link HERE for different manufacturers diagnostic tools.

Let us know if this helps and we'll go from there. :thumbsup:
