I keep getting this error message
No disk inserted
why does that happen? As long as I keep a disk in floppy drive its ok

I would suspect the floppy drive or it's cable is toast.

u mentioned cable my be toast. Is that the ribbon inside? I have another floppy drive would just putting it in work or do I need to install an different driver? Thank you

Yes the ribbon cable. You need to make sure the ribbon cable is right side up when you connect it to the floppy drive. Usually if the cable is wrong then the floppy drive light will stay on. No drivers needed.

Spring may arrive here by May. I still have 8 feet snowbanks surrounding my driveways. We'll see after this weekend's expected warm weather with rain how fast it melts. I have patios and retaining walls to finish so I hope the snow leaves fast.
