Hi everybody!!!

I'm new in the forum and I hope you can help me.

When I search something in Google, I receive a popup (my IE6 popup blocker is turned on) wich want to "help me" in my search. The windows's title is Word Sea.

If I close or ignore the window and continue to navigate, when I click in one of the search results, I'm redirected to a strange site with links related with what I was searching, but it's not the site that Google shows me.

This problem is intermitent and I realized that the site I'm redirected is named *xemakao.com*.

I executed some softwares anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-adware (Trend Micro OfficeScan, Spybot, Windows Defender Ad-Aware, PC-Doctor and HijackThis), but the problem persists.

Thanks.

Marcos.

Here I have the HijackThis log:

Hi Marcos,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you have a very nasty infection on board. Many in the malware community agree that it's best to reformat and reinstall the operating system once you're infected with this. If it were my computer, I would, in all honesty. We could try to clean your system, but cannot promise that it'll ever be safe. If you decide to reformat & reinstall, I suggest that you back up your personal data before doing that. The following link may be of use. Please let me know what you'd like to do and if you have any questions. I would also suggest that you read the following:

When should I re-format? How should I reinstall?

Hi amateur.

Something was telling me to do that

I tried the best anti-spyware, anti-adware, anti-vírus and other things to clean my pc, but I wanted an opinion from a specialist.

I can't lost my time to do more tasks and live the unreliability if my computer is still infected or not.

I really thank you!

Best regards.

Marcos.
