i contracted a virus last night which made a fake warning triangle thing pop up in notification area which asked me to down load Systemdoctor, so i did, then asked a friend and he said that was a virus... and gave me a link to a page here and i followed the instructions and i think i got rid of that. then i kept getting a security alert saying i had a trojan called NetWorm-i.Virus@fp, and i kept getting pop ups like porn and antivirus software, so i searched google on how to remove it and the site told me to download XoftSpy so i did and it was XoftSpySE429_226 but the problem is that i needed a key for it and i don;t have one and couldent find one... so i just shutdown my pc for the night so the pop ups would stop coming. i just started my pc up and now it does not say i have NetWorm-i.Virus@fp but the security alert says i have PSW.x-vir trojan and is telling me to click the ballon....but i dont want to click that because i dont know if that is real or a fake.... then a Critical System Warning keeps popping up also saying " your system is probably infected with the latest version of Spyware.Cyberlog.X
so my question is how do i get rid of all this stuff?? i would be sooo grateful for any help

Welcome to BC dizz15

I suggest you follow the directions in this guide. Then create an HJT log, you will find the directions in the guide.

Create a new topic in this forum, not here and give it a good descriptive title. Briefly summarize what the problems are, what you have done to try to solve it, and what worked and didn't work and paste in your HJT log.

After you post your log, DO NOT make any further changes to your computer: deleting files, editing the registry, using special fix tools, installing or uninstalling software etc. as this will make it more difficult for the HJT team to help you.

Please be patient as the HJT team is very busy. DO NOT bump your log as the team may think that someone is already helping you. If you have not had a response in five days, add a response to the five days no response topic and paste in the link to your thread.

Help us help you. If HelpBot replies, you MUST follow step 1 in its reply so we know you need help.

Instructions for removing Systemdoctor:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/58656/how-to-remove-systemdoctor-2006-system-doctor-and-messenger-blocker/

Install Super Antispyware. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

Run the online scan for Bit Defender in normal mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html

I would also post a Hijack This log by following Orange Blossoms instructions if you still have a problem or to make sure the infection(s) is gone.

The same thing happend to me. It said I had the Trojan virus. I ended up doing a restore and getting Spyware Doctor. Things seem to be better EXCEPT with my wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. I can only use them for about 30 seconds and then have to push the button on the wireless receiver that is hooked up to the computer. It is VERY frustrating. Anyone know how to help? Thanks in advance!

ChristaP--Welcome to BC. It would be better if you started your own topic. If you were infected with the system doctor then follow the directions in my last post.
