The start button and all the icons,clock on the task bar dissapeared .The bar is empty so I can not turn off the pc or see the hour. Just I also noticed that the windows logo which rotates on the upper right corner is missing. I can navigate the internet but from time to time the pc is frozen. Ad aware, spybot, superantispyre were run and found about 200 spies,cleaned and apparently all was normal but again the task bar become empty. What else couldi do? Could it be a virus? please need you help
If CTRL+ESC didn't work press CTRL+ALT+DEL to fire up the task manager.
On the File menu, select New Task (Run).
Type in "explorer" and press OK.
That should restart explorer and re-display your taskbar.

I am adding some more info about this problem, it happens that when I press start button ,control panel and all the task bar is frozen so none icon respond to the mouse click. The icons on the desktop respond normally to the mouse click finally if I try to width the task bar I can do but I am unable to do the reverse.
Hope this info help to help me, no success when I press CTRL ESC or CTRL ALT DEL.
