I posted this once on 1 March but the suggestions did not work. Maybe I should explain better: When I go to an icon on my desktop and open it, the window that opens is about 4" wide and 6 or 7" high. I can open it by maximizing or hit F11 to do it. How can I get windows to open maximized? This just started the other day when I must have "did sompin' wrong."

Once you have expanded the window use the Close button in the File tab to close and save the setting.

Move your cursor to the bottom right of the window until it turns into: Posted Image. Now drag the window to the size you want it to open to then hold down the Ctrl key then click on the X to close the window. it should now open to the size you set it at.

I am experiencing the same re-sizing issue with Explorer 7. Non of the suggestions have worked for me. I didn't have this problem until I un/reinstalled 7. My wife's computer has the same annoyance. Not a big deal, but annoying. If there are other suggestions, I would apprecitate knowing them.
Thank you,

jd
