You are not on a limited broadband service that will only give you a certain amount of downloads a month. As we are coming to the end of the month ish is it possible you are nearing the limit. some companies will try and restrict download speeds when the limit is reached.

on the subject of download speeds, i be happy with a consistent 20 kbps on any file, my average bandwidth speeds are about 150-200 kbps, also unlimited usage(or so my ISP says)

i normally average about 5 to 10 kbps per file, very exceptionally 30 kbps, am using windows firewall and avast anti virus realtime only on a wireless dial up modem connection, no routers involved, also i generally make it a point to dl files with at least 10 to 15 hosts on the# column of limewire. ANYBODY any ideas on how i can improve speeds.

i understand i don't have to configure windows firewall as lw excepts itself.thank you anyone.
