Cannot Attach Anything To E-mails

I am running WinXP, I have used spybot to scan, ad-aware to scan, I have McAfee running all the time, but I cannot attach anything to e-mails. When I try to send the emial with the attachment, the system bogs down and it will not go....

an ideas?
please help me

What email client? It could be McAfee's email protection stopping the attachments.

it happends when I try to send any email anywhere, gmail, hot mail, my POP account...even using Messanger to send a file, it will not allow me

I don't know why you can't send an attachment by mail, but you might want to check your firewall settings for MSN. Your firewall may need to be configured to allow MSN to send/receive files.

Out of curiousity, the email attachments aren't to big are they? There is a limit on the size that can be sent, this limit varies depending on the mail provider.
