So I am forced to use RealVNC to access my pc from work because for some reason my online college class website won't work at work. It tells me that "The Learning Server has encountered a problem." I spoke with my LD guys and they didn't know what was causing this issue. So I just went ahead and used RealVNC and it worked.......until I set up a wireless network at my house. Since that point I've not been able to connect from work. First it was the fact that I couldn't get my wireless router to forward the required ports. I got that issue corrected because now I can go to www.canyouseeme.org and it shows that the port is open. But when I try to connect it tells me that the connection was unexpectedly terminated. Now I've tried to ping my server from work and it gets nothing, but I can ping it once I'm at home. What could be the issue here? I don't think it's anything with work because they actually use that in certain situations when they need to connect with our customers PC.

Your administrator at work may block such activity. Like with all filtering software it has holes in it. They may have patched a hole that you were previously exploiting.
