Removing Helpfixpc Malware Pop-up

I have a pop-up on my screen that suggests that i go to a web site called www.helpfixpc.com to fix registry issues. Someone told me that the website that asks you to go to their website to resolve any issues that your experiencing is the culprit of the problem. How can I stop this message from popping up?
