Hi, my computer slips into a suspend type mode after it has been idle for a while.
I want to prevent that, because it takes "forever", sometimes a half hour, to come back out.
So, I tried going into the control panel and set it to "never hibernate", but that's not working.
Any suggestions? I have a Compaq Presario, about 3 years old, and use Windows XP.

Hello,

You may have stopped the hibernation, in the power options, it will give you options asking how long to wain before turning the screen and harddrive off. set these settings to max or never. that should stop the problem

Alan.
