hello to you members. i am an old geezer and beginning to get chapped by the fact that i have no clue as to what makes my rig work. can pull head, liner and piston from a marine diesel in less time than it would take to begin to fathom where the electrons gather in this thing i type upon.

in a couple of week's time, i will have an arm in plaster and have to "take it easy". so i will apply myself to tutorials and other scholarly things that i see are offered here.

as time goes by i have been more and more intriqued by "open" operating systems. linux is the only one that i have heard about. are those sort of things a bizzillion times more complicated than store bought like windows? i mean does linux (for example) require glasses with tape on the bridge to get up and usable?

my rig is without any problems and has all sorts of mcaffe safes running. am out inna deep stix and have no choice but dial-up to get onna web.

enough chatter, glad to meet yis.
