Ok, in effor to connect my wii to the web, i have gotten the usb connector. However, to do this i need to enable internet sharing. This wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for my internet.

I am provided service by Comcast. I have a motorola surfboard modem that works fine. And even though i cannot connect to the comcast broadband connection(when i look at the properties for it, the area for the service name is blank, is this a problem?), i have a LAN connection which allows me to connect to the internet fine.

But in order to enable online internet sharing, i have to let the windows firewall allow it. When i try to do that, it says "Due to an unexpected error, Windows cannot bring up Windows Firewall settings". So when i reinstall the thing, i cannot connect to the internet. It says i am offline, even though the LAN network says it is perfectly connected. So i end up having to use system restore to return internet service.

Any ideas?

yea, try a router, either wired or wireless. you can buy a router cheaply, and either a wired or wireless wii adapter. from there, post back and we can help you set it up.
ICS, (internet connection sharing)has a few negative attributes. Not highky recommended unless you really need to, this is rare so i suggest the above method.
