When I use the up/down arrows or space bar while reading text or whatever it skips eratically to the bottom of the page. How can adjust this preference so that I might be able to scroll with more control while using my browser. Thanks

What browser are you using?
For Firefox:
Tools/Options/Advanced/general tab. You can use "autoscrolling" or "smooth scrolling."
