I appreciate your help...
I have had problems with slow log off and errors in the system log which I corrected by installing the user profile hive service. The user profile hive service works well, but I still wanted to try to change Zone alarm to run under NT Authority instead of Local System (recommended to me as a possible fix). I follow the directions to change services permissions, but after I enter NT Authority, I am prompted to enter and verify my password.
Then the problem occurs. It is as if the machine does not acknowledge my password. I get an access denied message. I am logged on as administrator. I have tried going in and changing my password in user accounts, but to no avail....access still...Denied!!!!!
I am not on a network...just a home machine on DSL connection. It is pretty frustrating to be logged on as administrator and to be told I have no access. Any Ideas? Thanks!
