Thanks for all your help.... and if you can think of anything else I can do, before F disking it--I would love to know....

You should copy/print the following because you need to be in Safe Mode from here on.

Reboot your computer into SAFE MODE" using the F8 method.
To do this, restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup (but before the Windows icon appears) press the F8 key repeatedly.
A menu will appear with several options.
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode".

Scan with DrWeb-CureIt as follows:
* Double-click on drweb-cureit.exe to start the program. An "Express Scan of your PC" notice will appear.
* Under "Start the Express Scan Now", Click "OK" to start. This is a short scan that will scan the files currently running in memory and when something is found, click the Yes button when it asks you if you want to cure it.
* Once the short scan has finished, Click Options > Change settings
* Choose the "Scan tab" and UNcheck "Heuristic analysis"
* Back at the main window, click "Select drives" (a red dot will show which drives have been chosen)
* Then click the "Start/Stop Scanning" button (green arrow on the right) and the scan will start.
* When done, a message will be displayed at the bottom advising if any viruses were found.
* Click "Yes to all" if it asks if you want to cure/move the file.
* When the scan has finished, look if you can see the icon next to the files found. If so, click it, then click the next icon right below and select "Move incurable".
(This will move it to the C:\Documents and Settings\userprofile\DoctorWeb\Quarantine folder if it can't be cured)
* Next, in the Dr.Web CureIt menu on top, click file and choose save report list.
* Save the DrWeb.csv report to your desktop.
* Exit Dr.Web Cureit when done.
* Important! Reboot your computer because it could be possible that files in use will be moved/deleted during reboot.
* After reboot, post the contents of the log from Dr.Web in your next reply. (You can use Notepad to open the DrWeb.cvs report)

Post the DrWeb.cvs report and a new Hijackthis log into your next reply.

Richie,

Here is the log BEFORE Doing anything in your last post. I looked in the services.msc
& there is no winsock extension manager listed...so I have not done anything from your last post.

I STILL CAN NOT access the internet on the pc... and when I try to down at the bottom, it says
c://windows/system32/shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm instead of my home page....

Do you know what kind of virus this is??

Click on Start>Run,type CMD then press Ok.
At the Command Prompt copy and paste:
NETSH WINSOCK RESET
Then press Enter.

Go to Start>Control Panel, and choose 'Network Connections'.
Then right click on your default connection, usually 'Local Area Connection' or 'Dial-up Connection' if you are using Dial-up,then left click on 'Properties'.
Double-click on the 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' item and select the radio button that says: 'Obtain DNS servers Automatically'.
Click OK twice,restart your computer.

Well you're definitely asking for problems here.
You have AVG Free Edition Antivirus,eTrust EZ Antivirus, and Avast4 installed and active.
Not a good idea to have more than one antivirus program installed on your computer.
Each program may interpret the actions of the others as viral, therefore giving you false virus warnings about virus-related activities.
It could also lead to system slowdowns and other problems within the operating system, due to the three conflicting with each other.
You should uninstall two of them as soon as possible via Add\Remove Programs, then reboot.
Then delete their folders\directories from C:\Program Files.

***************************

Please disable Spybot S&Dís protection,or it will interfere.
You can enable it after you're clean.
Open Spybot and click on 'Mode' and check 'Advanced Mode'.
Click on 'Tools' in bottom left hand corner.
Click on the 'System Startup' icon.
Uncheck 'Teatimer' box and/or uncheck 'Resident'.
Click the 'Allow Change' box.
Then, check next to the computer clock to see if the icon for Spybot is still there.
If it is, right click it and choose 'exit Spybot-S&D Resident'.
Reboot the computer.

***************************

Disable SpywareGuard.
Right click the running icon of Spywareguard,it will open the program.
Then go to Menu>File>Exit.
Then confirm the program is closed.

***************************

Have Hijack This fix the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting 'Fix checked'.
Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing:
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {BDBD1DAD-C946-4A17-ADC1-64B5B4FF55D0} - (no file)
O16 - DPF: {644E432F-49D3-41A1-8DD5-E099162EEEC5} -
O16 - DPF: {8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93} (Java Plug-in 1.5.0_09) -
O16 - DPF: {CAFEEFAC-0014-0002-0000-ABCDEFFEDCBA} (Java Plug-in 1.4.2) -

Exit Hijackthis.

***************************

Other than the above your log is clean
If all's ok,please do the following:

Re-enable Spybot's TeaTimer and SpywareGuard.

Revert these settings back to default:
* Click 'Start'.
* Open 'My Computer'.
* Select the 'Tools' menu and click 'Folder Options'.
* Select the 'View' tab.
* Under the 'Hidden files and folders' heading select 'Show hidden files and folders'.
* Uncheck the 'Hide file extensions for known types' option.
* Uncheck the 'Hide protected operating system files (recommended)' option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

Clear your 'System Restore' points by doing the following:
Right-click on 'My Computer' and select 'Properties'.
Select 'System Restore'.
Select 'Turn Off System Restore On All Drives'.
Select 'Apply'.
You will then get the following warning:
"You have chosen to turn off System Restore.
If you continue, all existing restore points will be deleted, and you will not be able to track or undo changes to your computer.
Do you want to turn off System Restore?".
Then select 'Yes',your 'System Restore' directories will be purged.

Turn 'System Restore' back on:
Right click on 'My Computer' and select 'Properties'.
Select 'System Restore'.
Unselect 'Turn Off System Restore On All Drives'.
Select 'Apply',then click 'Ok'.

Create a new 'System Restore' point:
Click on Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
In the 'System Restore' window, click 'Create a Restore Point' button, then click 'Next'.
In the window that appears, enter a description, then click on 'Create',then click 'Close'.
The date and time is created automatically.

You should now go to Windows Update and install any available critical/high priority updates.

Read through the info found here,to help you prevent any possible future infections.
