Bootvis generally won't give that sort of error unless the installation file is corrupt. I'd suggest downloading another copy - preferably from another reputable download site.

Try the download from here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=664

I just tried it and it installed without problem on my Vista system (surprised me!).

If it continues, I'd then suspect either your installer is corrupt or that there's further issues with your Windows installation.

To reregister the installer dll's - try this free utility: http://wiki.djlizard.net/Dial-a-fix#Standard_version

For a corrupt Windows install, we'd have to try SFC.EXE and then a repair install.

Just a thought, but have you scanned for malware? Try this free, online scan: http://safety.live.com/
