This forum stuff is new to me. But I don't want to let that keep me from getting to the center of my computers problems. I am going to paste some info about my computer from a belarc scan and then also paste a hijackthis scan.

Any help and info would be appreciated. And if I did this wrong please let me know.

Thanks in advance

eskariman

Hello eskariman and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. I don't see any signs of viruses or malware in the log but there are a couple of cleanup things we should do.

To start with, it appears that there are multiple anti-virus applications running on this computer (Kapersky and TrendMicro). It is not recommended to have this because it can cause file access issues and if there is an infection the multiple programs can block each other from dealing with the infected file. I highly recommend that you choose which application you want to keep and uninstall the other one(s) to prevent these problems.

Next, there are a couple of housekeeping items we can cleanup in the log.

Start HijackThis and click the Scan button to perform a scan. Look for the following items and click in the checkbox in front of each item to select it:O2 - BHO: (no name) - {BE2ED590-CA49-46B5-8CCE-244FB2E0D1AA} - (no file)
O18 - Protocol: tbr - {4D25FB7A-8902-4291-960E-9ADA051CFBBF} - (no file)
O20 - Winlogon Notify: WRNotifier - WRLogonNTF.dll (file missing)

Now close ALL open windows except HijackThis and click the Fix Checked button to finish the repair.

Other than that the log looks good. For non-malware related performance issues I would suggest posting in the XP forum here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/56/windows-xp-home-and-professional/

They can assist with diagnosing system performance issues and make any recommendations that are necessary.

Cheers.
