I was trying to get my computer to recognize a new external hard drive and I was having trouble getting it to recognize the new drive. At some point in the process I accidentally wiped my existing hard drive of everything I had. I have no back up (dumb move) except my songs are still on my ipod. I think if I plug my ipod into the computer I might be able to get the songs back but I really want to get all my pics, etc. back too. Am I screwed?

Try to recover the files with PC Inspector. You can find the download link in our freeware section.

You can get the songs off your iPod by using yamipod or ephpod (made by someone who went to Williams College, the same college my sister is at =D ), both should work alright for you.

Thing is, ephpod was last updated in 2005. . .Sooo. . .http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/downloads/

Downloaded and tried to use PC Inspector but got a pop up error that says "Division by Zero" Anyone know why this might be happening?

Is it installed correctly?
You might try reinstalling it.
There's another free program called Drive Rescue, also based on PC Inspector's engine. It's Italian based, but I believe there's an English language option.
