hello, i was reading another users post who has the similar problem as me with that rnamfler. it also causes many web pages such as myspace pages, google image search, you tube.com, etc to randomly close all my internet explorer tabs and its very annoying. i want to uninstall it and everything related to it. i also do not have a password for it either. i would be extremly grateful to anyone who might be able to help me with this. i have so far tried to uninstall it, delete it, disable with hijack this, and tried to do a few system restores and it did 2 (before last two service updates) but it will not let me restore any further back no matter how many times i try etc.... :flowers:

here are the two reports you asked for in this other users post and i will post anything else you need as well. thanks a lot for taking time to look

Please delete the version of SmitfraudFix you have on your desktop, then follow these instructions to run this latest version:

Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri), to your desktop.
Double click on Smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 Search, by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).

thanks  ok so i did the scans, and did the deleting...i couldnt find the first thing to fix, only similar ones, but not that one....also, i hope i dont have to do another complete system scan because it takes HOURS to do...also my comp is still running the same, i still see that little naomi flower thing in my tray icon and such and another thing i didnt mention is that often when i have more than one ie window open if i try to close one, it makes it all freeze, and then i have to ctl alt del to end all of them becuase theyre all frozen...like it doesnt like having more than one window open which is annoying....

also, often when it freezes like that it start popping up a thousand of this little messages error windows constantly (this sometimes happens at other random times) and when they start popping up they just keep coming till there over a hundred and i have to do the ctl alt del to end task on ieexplorer which has like 100 things listed at that point due to all the lil error messages.

the error messages look like this (numbers may be different each time i dont know, but this was the last one):

Access Violation @ address04CBFF9C in module 'iesdsg.dll' Read of address 737365B2

i had run both of these in safe mode....the avg was run in safe mode, and i had done the hijack this in safe mode too, but then when i got back to my desktop and reg mode log in and tried to open the report it wouldnt let me, so i had to run another hijackthis and copy the new log again

Ok,please uninstall Internet Explorer 7 via Add or Remove Programs, then restart your pc.
If you cannot see IE7's uninstaller in Add or Remove Programs, place a check in the box at the top 'Show Updates'.
You can reinstall IE7 when your system has been cleaned up.

****************************

Clear your 'System Restore' points by doing the following:
Right-click on 'My Computer' and select 'Properties'.
Select 'System Restore'.
Select 'Turn Off System Restore On All Drives'.
Select 'Apply'.
You will then get the following warning:
"You have chosen to turn off System Restore.
If you continue, all existing restore points will be deleted, and you will not be able to track or undo changes to your computer.
Do you want to turn off System Restore?".
Then select 'Yes',your 'System Restore' directories will be purged.

Turn 'System Restore' back on:
Right click on 'My Computer' and select 'Properties'.
Select 'System Restore'.
Unselect 'Turn Off System Restore On All Drives'.
Select 'Apply',then click 'Ok'.

Create a new 'System Restore' point:
Click on Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
In the 'System Restore' window, click 'Create a Restore Point' button, then click 'Next'.
In the window that appears, enter a description, then click on 'Create',then click 'Close'.
The date and time is created automatically.

***************************

Download and scan with the free 15 day trial of Counterspy
Once installed launch Counterspy.
Click on 'Spyware Scan',then click 'Updates' at the top right.
Once any available updates have been installed, click the 'Scan Now' button.
Save the report when it's finished:
1.Once Counterspy has done scanning, the 'Scan Results' box will appear.
2.Click on 'View Results'.
3.Under (Recommended Action),using the drop down menus at the side of each entry found, set EVERYTHING to 'Remove'.
4.Then click on 'Take Action'.
5.Once everything has been removed, click on 'View Details'.
6.Copy and Paste those details into a Word/Text document, then save it to your desktop.

Reboot, post the Counterspy report and a new Hijackthis log into your next reply.

Once IE7 is uninstalled you're reverted back to IE6.
When we've finished you can download IE7 from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx

Ok you'll have to forget Counterspy and run the following instead:
Download\install 'SuperAntiSpyware Home Edition Free Version' from here:
http://www.superantispyware.com/downloadfi...ANTISPYWAREFREE

Launch SuperAntiSpyware and click on 'Check for updates'.
Once the updates have been installed,on the main screen click on 'Scan your computer'.
Check: 'Perform Complete Scan'.
Click 'Next' to start the scan.

Superantispyware will now scan your computer, when it's finished it will list all/any infections found.
Make sure everything found has a checkmark next to it,then press 'Next'.
Click on 'Finish' when you've done.

It's possible that the program will ask you to reboot in order to delete some files.

Obtain the SuperAntiSpyware log as follows:
Click on 'Preferences'.
Click on the 'Statistics/Logs' tab.
Under 'Scanner Logs' double click on 'SuperAntiSpyware Scan Log'.
It will then open in your default text editor, such as Notepad.
Copy and paste the contents of that report into your next reply.
