I have Norton Antivirus and a warning popped up saying that i had been infected with a Zlob Trojan but of course it couldn't do anything with it.
I ran Ad-Aware.. it found several things and deleted them.
Then I got this icon in my taskbar saying System Alert and it would automatically popup a webpage for Antivermins.
I tried running Housecall and it reported I had Troj_Dloader.GDZ, Troj_Purity.R, and Troj_DLoader.DRH and that's as far as it got until internet explorer just quit out midscan by itself. I tried running it again and it did the same thing. After that I just disconnected my ethernet cable from the back of my computer and have been using a separate computer to download the required files and transfer them via a USB stick, and only reconnect it to download updates for the antivirus software, since it seems like every time its connected to the internet it just downloads more spyware/adware/trojans etc. by itself.
I put the computer in safemode and Ran ATF Cleaner, AVG Anti-Spyware, and smitfraud. Restarted my computer and ran hijack this. Here are the Hijack this log, AVG log, and Rapport.txt.
Thanks for any help it is much appreciated.

Hello,

This is a nasty log. :thumbsup:

I notice from your log that you are running more than one different Anti-Virus programs with Auto-protect enabled. Bitdefender and Norton/symantec.
Never install more than one Antivirus and Firewall! Rather than giving you extra protection, it will decrease the reliability of it seriously!
The reason for this is that if both products have their automatic (Real-Time) protection switched on, your system may lock up due to both software products attempting to access the same file at the same time.
Also because more than one Antivirus and Firewall installed are not compatible with eachother, it can cause system performance problems and a serious system slowdown.

I would strongly advise you to only have one Anti-Virus with the Auto-Protect feature running at any one time!
If you decide to only keep one Anti-Virus installed,
you should uninstall the other(s) through the Add or Remove Programs option in Control Panel.

It is important you don't miss a step and perform everything in the right order!!

* Go to start > controlpanel > software > add/remove programs and uninstall next programs if present:

Ipwindows / ipwins
Oin
Yazzle by Oin
YazzleActiveX By OIN
Purityscan by Oin
MediaTickets by OIN
Snowballwars by Oin
Cowabanga by OIN
or anything similar with Oin in it.

Reboot afterwards. Important!

* Please download VundoFix.exe to your C:\.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • In case it says that nothing was found, Right click the list box (white box) in the main VundoFix window.
  • Select “Add More Files?” from the menu that comes up. This will open a new VundoFix window.
  • In the Window: copy and paste next in the first field: C:\WINDOWS\system32\awvtr.dll
  • Copy and paste next in the second field: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\qomllji.dll
  • Click the “Add Files” button.
  • Click the "Close Window" button.
  • Click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
  • Turn your computer back on.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

---------------------

I see you already have AVG Anti-Spyware installed...
  • Load AVG Anti-Spyware and then click the Update tab at the top. Under Manual Update click Start update.
  • After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")
  • Then click on the Scanner tab at the top. Click the "Settings" tab and then change the recommended action to Quarantine and click Automatically generate report after every scan. Click back to the "Scan" tab and then click on Complete System Scan. This scan can take quite a while to run, so be prepared.
  • AVG Anti-Spyware will list any infections found on the left hand side. When the scan has finished, it will automatically set the recommended action. Click the Apply all actions button. AVG Anti-Spyware will display "All actions have been applied" on the right hand side.
  • Click on "Save Report", then "Save Report As". This will create a text file. Make sure you know where to find this file again (like on the Desktop).
  • Close AVG Anti-Spyware and reboot!!
    I need the log later.
-------------------------

* Download Combofix to your desktop.
Doubleclick combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.

When finished and after reboot (in case it asks to reboot), it should open a log, combofix.txt.
Post next logs in your following reply:
  • Log from combofix (combofix.txt)
  • Log from Vundofix (vundofix.txt)
  • Log from AVG Antispyware
  • New Hijackthislog
You may need several replies to post the logs in case they won't fit in one reply.

I uninstalled Bit Defender since I only downloaded it yesterday to use to scan my computer. I also uninstalled Norton Antivirus temporarily since it slows donw my computer way too much and I'll probably reinstall it after my computer is cleaned.
I did everything you asked me to in the right order.. after running combofix i restarted and ran a new hijackthis log and here are the results:

"Jared" - 07-02-14 13:20:01 Service Pack 2
ComboFix 07-02-11 - Running from: "C:\Documents and Settings\Jared\Desktop"

Hello,

I uninstalled Bit Defender since I only downloaded it yesterday to use to scan my computer. I also uninstalled Norton Antivirus temporarily since it slows donw my computer way too much and I'll probably reinstall it after my computer is cleaned.

It's a bad idea not having any protection present while your system is still infected. You really need the protection, not only to prevent reinfection while you're already infected, but also to prevent malware in the future.
That's why I want you to install an Antivirus asap.
If Norton slows down your system too much (which I agree on), just install another Antivirus instead.
There are a lot of great and FREE antivirus out there. Take a look in my signature under Antivirus where you can find the ones I recommend (also free ones). For example Avira is a great FREE antivirus.

Anyway, let's clean the rest here, because I still see many malware related files present.

Please set your system to show all files.
Click Start.
Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.

Please hide your hidden files and folders afterwards again, when we are done with this thread and your problems are solved, because above instructions to set your system to show all files, unhide legit files and folders as well.
And I don't want you to delete them because they may look suspicious. To hide them again, just perform the above instructions in the opposite way.

Browse to and Delete next folders and files:

C:\VundoFix Backups <== folder
C:\Program Files\Common Files\svchost.exe <== file (do not delete the svchost.exe anywhere else!)
C:\WINDOWS\system32\xsiybflg.dll
C:\Program Files\àppPatch <== do not delete the Appatch folder anywhere else!
C:\WINDOWS\system32\vcntwnj.dll
C:\Program Files\MalwaresWipeds <== folder

Open notepad and copy and paste next present in the quotebox below in it:
(don't forget to copy and paste REGEDIT4)

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\shellexecutehooks]
"{2DECA9FD-9E10-4A28-9F4D-121F40540A59}"=-

[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{2DECA9FD-9E10-4A28-9F4D-121F40540A59}]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\explorer\Run]
"svchost.exe"=-
"user32.dll"=-

Save this as fix.reg Choose to save as *all files and place it on your desktop.
It should look like this: Posted Image
Doubleclick on it and when it asks you if you want to merge the contents to the registry, click yes/ok.
(In case you are unsure how to create a reg file, take a look here with screenshots.)

After cleaning the files you told me and reinstalling an up to date Java I reinstalled all my Norton Systemworks / Antivirus software and updated it. I then ran a full system scan, it didn't detect anything, and ran a scan using AVG Anti-Spyware. It came up clean too. The system seems to be running great and everything works like it is supposed to. I had one question, and that is if keeping the AVG Anti-Spyware "resident shield" running in the taskbar along with the norton antivirus "auto-protect" would cause a problem with having two anti-virus utilities running at the same time like you described earlier. If it does, I will just keep my Norton antivirus settings the way they are and keep AVG as a program to use manually on occasion, rather than leaving it running constantly. Other than that everything seems to be fine. Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it, this was much faster/easier than reformatting my entire hard drive. Here is a new Hijack this log, and hopefully everything is clear. :thumbsup:

Hello,

Clean log here..

I had one question, and that is if keeping the AVG Anti-Spyware "resident shield" running in the taskbar along with the norton antivirus "auto-protect" would cause a problem with having two anti-virus utilities running at the same time like you described earlier

No, AVG Antispyware won't interfere with Virusscanners, they are compatible. After all, AVG Antispyware is no Antivirus anyway.
The realtime protection will disable itself after the trial has been expired, but you will still able to update it manually and run a scan. :thumbsup:

Glad I could help. :flowers:

Please read my Prevention page with lots of info and tips how to prevent this in the future.
