I love this plugin

http://disruptor.de

it's "out of the box" settings are decent but if you like to tweak, of course you do you're in the tips and trick section, like me, then you'll love disruptor. Unfortunately there's no plugin for mozilla thunderbird

Mozilla TB already has a teachable spam filtre, just as does Mozilla; I am not sure an additional application would add much functionality.
You do not indicate this, but disrupter appears to be a for-profit application.
