Hi,
I'm hopeless at shopping for PC hardware, I usually end up paying more than I should, or else buy the wrong type, or let the shops bully me, so could I ask for some guidelines on scanners (if that's the right word?)
Basically I want to copy old family photos and stuff onto my hard drive, and I presume a scanner is the only way to do it?
I don't want anything fancy, so what sort of prices (in UK pounds) do they start at?
And do I just plug it in and go, it's as simple as that, right?
Thanks
Mick

In the USA, I shop using PriceGrabber.com.

I only buy from resellers with several hundred feedbacks - and then only if they have some color in the 5th star of the 5 star rating system. I haven't been burnt this way in about 10 years of online shopping.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
