I'm using a PCI RAID card in IDE mode to connect a spare hard drive to my computer (my MB, an Asus P5L-MX, only has one IDE slot :thumbsup: . But it is still a great MB, IMHO). I have another Hard Drive (my main one) and my DVD/CD-RW on the MB's IDE channel. I still have my CD-RW drive that is at the moment not connected and sitting idle. I was wondering if there is a way to connect the CD-RW drive through the RAID card.

(In case you're wondering, I want both the DVD/CR-RW and the CD-RW because while the DVD/CD-RW is great for burning DVD's, it is slooooow when burning CD's when compared to the CD-RW [8x versus 52x])

else if (document.question.answer.value == 'Here's how ya do it...') alert('Gee golly wilikers! Thanks a heap!');
else if (document.question.answer.value == 'What's RAID?') alert('Look it up! :P');
}
</script>

It sounds possible, but I'd think that this was a job for the support team of the card maker. Much too specialized for us to have a whole bunch of experience with.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
