My old motherboard: ABIT AA8XE 925XE (uses DDR2-533)
The new motherboard I want: Foxconn 945P7AA-8EKRS2 (uses DDR2-667)

I currently have 2x1GB DDR2-533 sticks. They're the same brand and worked fine in my old machine. Will I be able to use this RAM safely on this board or am I forced to get DDR2 667 memory? Short on cash which is why I'm trying to make due. I selected this motherboard for the upgrade because I wanted to use the Intel Pentium D 945 Presler 3.4GHz Processor.

Thank you for the help!

DDR2 533 is 240 pin
DDR2 667 is 200 pin

Both DDR2 SDRAM 533 and 667 is 240 pin. It is DDR2 SO-DIMM which is 200 pin (used in laptops).

In theory it should work, yes.
