Anyone here running laptop that came with Vista? If so what brands/models and what do you think? I am in the market for a 17" screen laptop with vista on it. Prob leaning towards HP.

I dont have one personally, but I have tinkered with some at stores. Run great for what you're getting. Though I hate laptops.

I don't remember which models I tried, didn't think to look. But the brands were Vaio, HP, eMachine, and gateway. The big 4 I guess you could say.

I've seen a lot of them at work - mostly with Home Premium - and they all seem to work just fine! (HP, Toshiba, Acer, Gateway, Dell)

I just bought a cheap Compaq ($499 on sale) with Home Basic on it for the wife's office - and it works quite well.

Yeah I am not a laptop fan myself, but I need one for traveling and for my wife to use. I find it interesting that the laptops these days predominantly have wide screen monitors.
