First, I am a newbie when it comes to computers. However, I purchased an HP printer this weekend and am trying to install it on my Dell Dimension 8100. The loading goes as desired for about half of the process, than an error occurs that says "The system configuration key registry could not be written."

If anyone knows what I need to do, please respond to this message.

Thanks in advance.

Are you installing the printer with an account that has Administrator permissions?
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
