Those components are all compatable. I would save some money and buy this RAM instead:

Simply because it is cheaper.

A word to the wise: Don't expect to ever see a rebate check. I buy thousands of dollars worth of parts every month, and I have yet to see even one rebate check. Don't trust them. Just go for the good price up front.

Well, that depends upon what you want your computer to do.

Also, you have no video card. No operating system. No hard drive.

Intel will begin phasing out the E6300 and E6400 in around a month, then they'll introduce the E6350 and E6450. They're basically the same thing, but with 4mb of L2 cache instead of 2mb. And they'll cost the same too.

So if you can wait a month, it'll be worth it.

You'll probably need a new video card too. I'd suggest getting a 7600 GT. It's fairly cheap and has good performance.

Well, you're not going to have a use for all these parts until you get the chip. . .I'd wait, you never know how much prices will go down in a month. You shoulda seen how ram went down when vista came out

Is that even a graphics card? If it is, then it's very... VERY old. Where's the cooler? You HAVE to buy a new graphics card if you want to play ANY games at all.

That old video card Is only AGP (probably only 2x or something). It will not fit in your motherboard. The motherboard you were looking at is an ultra gaming SLI motherboard for 2 pci-e video cards (or only one). If you are not going to be doing way hard core gaming, I would recommend maybe getting a cheaper mobo (although that one is a really good mobo for the money, so maybe just a video card...)

But you will definately need a new video card. And a fairly decent vid card to play CS.

And for the case compatibility, you should be fine. Most new motherboards come standard with those plugins. I would check the manual for the motherboard your buying on the manufacturers website.

For that new motherboard, you will need PCI Express (pci-e) not agp.

As in something in this area http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....;SubCategory=48
