hello,
great forum here. for the last few months, i've just been reading and learning and fixing minor problems with hijack this. my friend recently had problems with explorer and peper.exe. we have fixed things enough that explorer works, but i have a hunch that not nearly everything is gone. just wondering if anyone could give me a hand. thanks. here's the log.

It was a good hunch. You still have a few things left in your log that need to be taken care of.

First you have a Peper trojan infection.

Download Newuninst.exe
http://downloads.subratam.org/Newuninst.exe

Double click on 'Newuninst.exe' and press *Uninstall*. Let it run and when the progress bar says *complete* you can then press *close*. You must be online to have this work and do not block any attempts for the program to connect to internet if your firewall requests access. It will just run and then close.

Reboot and post a new hijackthis log.

Next I noticed that AVG your running is an old version that is no longer supported. Download and install the current version of AVG. Make sure you get all updates and then run a full scan.

Then please post a new hijackthis log so we can see what's left.

Failing to respond back to the person that is giving up their own time to help you not only is insensitive and disrespectful, but it guarantees that you will never receive help from me again. Please thank your helpers and there will always be help here when you need it!
