Have you tried to right-click the file and select open with paint?

Another method you could try is: Right click the TGA file and selct copy. Right click the copy and select rename. type in any name, but end it with .jpg Try to open the jpg file with paint.

TGA stands for Truvision tarGA file. Basically another picture file. Just as you have seen some applications do not open them. There is one that will-Irfanview. It is 100% free and can be found here

Edited: Scarlett, you may have beat me to the answer, but at least I included a link :bike: :flowers:  :trumpet: :inlove:

Your so welcome. Let us know how you do.

Let me explain InfranView a little.

Once you have it installed it will pick up on all of your image files.

Whenever you wish to open one:

Click on> File>Open>File Type>Choose file type>Open

You will now be able to open and view your TGA image file.

Easy breezy:)

A way you could find out what progs work with that format is to double click on it(of course it wont open). Then select get program from web (or whatever it says). Then Microsofts website ussually dosent have it, but the give you a link to cknow.net go there, then type the extension and you'll get a list of progs + Links that that format works with.

I also play WoW, much too much of the time. I never tried screen shots, but could you not just do a screen dump with something like Gadwin Print Screen?

IrfanView is absolutely the best application to use with all those "strange" picture files, and is a good editor and file viewer as well.....

Well, it seems that your question has been answered but here is another possible solution.......

I don't know about World of Warcraft but for Warcraft 3, when you take a screenshot, it copies it to the clipboard so you can then paste it in paint or something and save it in a different format....

This may or may not work with World of Warcraft....
