hello friends!

After a maleware attack I have done a System restore (suggested by Microsoft). Now cannot connect anymore.
I get ''Error 711: Cannot load Remote Access Service Connection Manager. You may also be unable to install network adapters.''

It is impossible to manually restart the telephony services.

After having carefully checked Microsoft Support pages, they suggest to reinstall XpSp1! No other solutions.
Do you know another way to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to BC kokiage

Hmm. Malware attack - cleaned or not cleaned? Regardless, if you had been disinfected, using system restore would have restored the malware as well. I suggest you follow the directions in this guide. Then create an HJT log, you will find the directions in the guide.

Create a new topic in this forum, not here and give it a good descriptive title. Briefly summarize what the problems are, what you have done to try to solve it, and what worked and didn't work and paste in your HJT log.

After you post your log, DO NOT make any further changes to your computer: deleting files, editing the registry, using special fix tools, installing or uninstalling software etc. as this will make it more difficult for the HJT team to help you.

Please be patient as the HJT team is very busy. DO NOT bump your log as the team may think that someone is already helping you. If you have not had a response in five days, add a response to the five days no response topic and paste in the link to your thread.

Once you have been declared clean and if you still have problems, please post in the appropriate forums so we can help you out.

Until one of our team of HJT experts has completed the review of your posted log, please do not make any significant changes to your computer since this may well invalidate the data in the log itself.
