Hi
I have this annoying problem with my computer frequently freezing.
I don't know what might be the problem.
I've been using Win 98, Win ME and Win 2000 and the problem is the same.
It freezes whether I am playing audio CD, mp3 music or working in Word, etc.. it doesn't matter what I am doing. Sometimes it can freeze after five minutes, sometimes after an hour or so but almost every time it freezes completely and I have to reboot the computer manually.
I have :
Amd processor 850 MHz
128 MB of Ram
40 GB hard disk of which 90% is free.

Check out this link and see if it's helpful or if it applies at all.

I would really like for you to read through all the posts there and especially pay attention to the last one where the link is given for HijackThis. No computer should be without that program. It could easily point to the problem.

Let us know.
