I installed the software for the Sony and the movies play but no sound on any of the players. I installed the same thing on my laptop and everything works fine. I am not even a fledgling techie so i have no idea of what to do. The Sony tech told me there could be a problem with media player and real player not being able to handle the 30 gig hard drive but it works fine of the laptop. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Do you use media player and real player on your laptop to playback the movie files? There could be a CODEC missing from your main computer?

Try uninstalling the sony drivers and software. Reinstall the software and connect your camcorder.

Pop back and let us know!
If all else fails, hit the reset button.
