Hello fellow forumers,
This morning I turned on my PC and it seems as though the cable for LAN connected to the router had been disconnected :flowers: Now the problem is that I need to setup the router to this PC and the other PC but it doesn't seem to work out. I've got the router and PCs connected and checked through going to run > cmd > and typing in ping and the IP address. Then I type the IP add. in my browser and try to connect it using a quick setup option but it seems to fail and not connect so I tried the static option. The static option requires IP address (WAN), Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS Server Addresses(Optional). When I type the IP address in the allocated space & Subnet Mask an error arises and says that it is a Bad gateway for the WAN and that I need to input another IP. I'm very sure I am typing in my IP as I got it from Local Area Connections and I went to the status and to the support tab and that it shows the information. I tried typing in the ip, subnet and gateway too and a different error arises too saying that it is the same and try using a different subnet mask.
I don't think its safe to post my IP address, but if needed I would so :trumpet:
Am I doing something wrong? At the moment I've got no LAN connections so only this computer is working
Help much appreciated :inlove:

I'd suggest following the setup instructions that came with the router. If you don't have them any longer, they should be available at the manufacturer's website.

Generally, when hooked to the router, you'll type in 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 in order to access the router.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

No I did follow them, its just I think my IP is somehow bad. When Im in the website thru going to 192.168.1.1 in the browser, I access the static option to input my details and yet when I put my IP and SubNet Mask(255.255.255.0) in the allocated spaces, it keeps saying the WAN ip is a bad gateway and I don't know what to do. Btw, do I need to have both the computers to have same IP addresses, or can they differ.
