I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop and lately while playing wmv songs with the Media Player, it will knock the sound out of my speakers/headphones. Usually it happens when going from one song to another.

To get the sound working again I have to re-start the laptop.

Any help would be appreciated.

Scott

Download and use Media Player Classic:

and see if the problem persists. Chances are, you won't have that problem again.

Fozzie,

I have been using Media Player 11 and have been playing wmv files directly from the laptop. Some times the sound is knocked out when I play some sort of media from the internet, like a video clip, and then try to go back to my wmv library.

But the sound always comes back if I re-boot the lap to.

I have a RealTec AC97 system and did download and install the driver, but it did it again.

I'll try the other suggestion too.

Thank you.
