I bought an Asus laptop recently, and I use it mostly as a desktop replacement, which I would like it to be always on, however I went through the screensaver and power options, and they returned back to what it was like when everytime I reboot. anyone? thanks

Hi unloaded.
From Asus Notebook Support Section:

Q. Why can't I keep the power scheme setting after rebooting the system? I found all models have "POWER 4 GEAR" for power scheme after system reboots regardless what was set previously. Is it normal?

A. This is because Power4Gear is still active when entering Windows.
If you want to change to other power scheme, please disable Power4Gear Auto Startup first.
