Here's the error codes listed for the Dell Dimension 2400. - http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/syst...en/advtshoo.htm
The diagnostic lights are located on the back of your computer. Match your error code with codes on the web site referenced.

For troubleshooting steps with error codes displayed on the power light on the front of your computer, please see Page 28 of the manual for your computer. - http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/syst...n/F75560LRs.pdf

What happens when you take the card out of your computer? What is the exact make of the PCI card?

Hope that helps.
JC

okay, like the comp is on with the amber light, i pulled the card out, and the comp started as usual. the manual says that it is causing an internal power problem.

when the card is in, the error code lights are off, when i pull it out the comp tells me three dffernt things it this order:

1. A possible expansion card failure has occurred.
2.
3. Another failure has occurred.
4. Memory modules are detected, but a memory failure has occurred.

#2 is blank cause it goes so fast i cannot identify what it is

Have you tried the card in other slots? What happens then?

If it errors out in each slot, then it's likely that the card is bad. RMA it and try the new one. If the problems return, then we'll have to delve deeper into the cause.
