Alright, first I'd like to mention that I don't know what happened, but I'm pretty sure that my brother got onto my computer and changed all the user accounts incredibly. I'm about halfway done, but I still need some significant assistance.

To start, my regular user (user1) was changed to a "Guest" account from "Administrator". Now, I realize that doesn't sound like much, but since I have Guest accounts disabled by default..

Anyway, I can still access 'user1' (via Safe Mode, ctrl+alt+delete twice, entering 'user1' and password and pushing enter) but I can't do anything on that account.

Sooooooo, here's my problem. He changed my built-in Administrator account (yes, the one you can only access via Safe Mode) and somehow set it to "disable" - I have the right password, and I know this because I used a CD boot program (ntpasswd) to reset it, and ultimately change it.

Anyway, I enter the password I set to Administrator, and it says this: "Account appears to be disabled." instead of the "blah blah we couldn't match your account name to your password blah"

Is there any way (Boot disk, etc) to reset it? Pleeeeeease help me.

We can't help you with password issues. It is against board rules. All I can say is do a repair install or format and do a fresh install.

You have XP Home? If you have Pro, and you know the real admin password, easy fix. Tap control-alt-delete twice on the welcome screen to get into the admin account. You must know the password to proceed.
