Having investigated the Ark Linux project, I'd stay away from it for a while. Let them work out the bugs. It seems people can't connect to their Internet, programs like Firefox aren't working right, etc. Try something like Freespire if your aiming to work with Linux....

Bullbleep. Ark Linux is very stable and works well. I recommend it.
