I found "dmserver" in my services using tasklist /svc. It didn't show up with AVG, so I was hoping to have someone look at my HJT log

Hi and welcome

Sorry for delay. We get pretty busy here.

This Hijack log looks OK.
If you still need assistance can you post a fresh hijackthis log please?

As a note to your opening comment.
There is a legit service called dmserver.

Lets check you got the right one....:

If you open services.msc from the run box and look for service called Logical Disk Manager and double click it it should be the one that shows dmserver for Service Name.
Logical Disk Manager is the display name.

In the same window under "Path to executable" should show this:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs

Should be set to automatic and should be running.

If you go here in regedit:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\dmserver\parameters

Hilight parameters

Look at right and the ServiceDll value data should be:

%systemroot%System32\dmserver.dll

Yes?

If that is what you got....you are OK in that regard.

Something telling you that you are infected?

Thanks
I'll have an order of massive trojan attack please with a side order of rootkit and virus dip.
Pre-course order of fresh spyware salad please with a side order of polymorphic dressing.
And to drink...a nice tall glass of adware!

For dessert; can I have a bowl of the freshest worms you have please?.

Never Give Up!

Great!

By the looks of your log you have a pretty decent handle on computer security.
Good to see.

Few pages you might want to check out just to check up on things and there is likely a few added suggestions to help you stay clean:
