Hi,

I am new to this forum, but am having a problem because System Idle Process is eating up all of my cpu. I'm not a computer wiz and have no idea identifying what the problem is. Any help that you can provide would be a great help.

Thanks,

Here's my HJT scan:

Hello florest and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. I see no signs of viruses or malware in the log. It is clean.

The System Idle Process should normally be in the high 90's when the system isn't doing anything. The higher the number the better. This means that the system is waiting for something to do and is idle. When programs are running then the System Idle process will drop down to a lower percentage and that means that the CPU is busy doing tasks and is not idle.

Cheers.
