Hi megabuff,

Welcome to BleepingComputer Forums and thanks again for your patience.

1.

I have treid numerous to remone this program naomf.exe from my pc

it is an internet filter i installed but is giving me soem problems ansd i wont to remove it.

the problem is i have lost the password for it and terefore i cannot remove it

Yes you're right you'll need the password as you can read in the FAQ-section:

Q: I can't remember my password. I need help to find my password and remove the filter.

A: Sorry, the password is under your care. For security reasons, such requests will not receive any reply.

It's not clear for me what kind of problems you refer to because of which you want to remove Naomi but I can see that you do have a virus on your computer, which has nothing to do with Naomi by the way. Let's look for some more info on it before removing it.

2. Download SmitfraudFix

Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/proc...processutil.htm

Please post the Smitfraud report together with a new HijackThis log and let me know if you insist on getting rid of Naomi.

Hi megabuff,

1. It looks like you use a cracked version of nod32 antivirus. Please be aware that this is dangerous since you never know what comes with it. Though it's up to you I recommend to remove it and use one of the legit free antivirus programmes available. See this link for a listing of some online & their stand-alone antivirus programs: Virus, Spyware, and Malware Protection and Removal Resources!

Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel and double-click on Add or Remove Programs. From within Add or Remove Programs uninstall nod32 antivirus.

You should print out these instructions, or copy them to a Notepad file for reading while in Safe Mode, because you will not be able to connect to the Internet to read from this site.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart anyway into normal Windows. A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt
